LP Techshield Roof Decking
Saving energy starts at the top: using LP TechShield® Radiant
Barrier to decrease the monthly cost of cooling a home.
LP Techshield blocks up to 97% of the radiant heat in the panel from
entering your attic, which keeps your home cooler. This means less
work for your air conditioner!

Low-E Double Paned Windows
Low-emittance (Low-E) coatings are microscopically thin, virtually
invisible, metal or metallic oxide layers deposited on a window or
skylight glazing surface primarily to reduce the U-factor by
suppressing radiative heat flow. The principal mechanism of heat
transfer in multilayer glazing is thermal radiation from a warm pane
of glass to a cooler pane. Coating a glass surface with a low-emittance
material and facing that coating into the gap between the glass
layers blocks a significant amount of this radiant heat transfer,
thus lowering the total heat flow through the window.

Energy Star HVAC, Appliances, and Tankless Water Heater
Did you know that the average home spends about $2,200 on energy
bills every year? Change to appliances that have earned the ENERGY
STAR, and you can save $75 a year in energy costs, while saving the
environment.
|
 |
When buying an
appliance, remember that it has two price tags: what you pay to take
it home and what you pay for the energy and water it uses. ENERGY
STAR qualified appliances incorporate advanced technologies that use
10–50% less energy and water than standard models.
The money you save on
your utility bills can more than make up for the cost of a more
expensive but more efficient ENERGY STAR model. |
As much as half of the energy used in your home goes to heating and
cooling. So making smart decisions about your home's heating,
ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can have a big
effect on your utility bills — and your comfort.
From warm showers to clean dishes, we count on hot water. In fact,
the average household spends $400–$600 per year on water heating —
making it the second largest energy expenditure behind heating and
cooling.
Most Americans have conventional water heaters that are barely more
efficient than ones sold 20 years ago. Today's new ENERGY STAR
qualified water heaters include smart design enhancements that offer
significant improvements in efficiency — and performance.
